Jay Hernandez, the founder of Pro Hoops, graduated from Hofstra University in 2000 where he was a 1,000 point scorer and the youngest player ever to be selected a CAA Legend. After finishing his degree in 2000 Jay completed his MBA in 2001 before going on to play professionally in Puerto Rico where he served as the team’s captain and was top 10 in the league in assists. Upon finishing his professional career, Jay focused on building Pro Hoops into a premier basketball training program. In addition to training college and professional players, Jay was the lead trainer for Pro Hoops NBA pre-draft through 2014

Jay recently left Pro Hoops to become an assistant and player development coach for the Orlando Magic. The Pro Hoops family is excited to follow his NBA career
